General Laborer - Nisku
Position Summary
This position will assist with basic shop housekeeping, equipment, and valve servicing duties. This entry-level and all-encompassing position would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience in the oil and gas servicing industry.
What you will be responsible for:

Reporting directly to the Equipment Servicing Lead.

Building pallets.
-
Cleaning / painting valves and other equipment parts.
-
Performing delivery runs to customers and/or service field personnel.

Fully understanding Safety and QC manuals.
-
Maintaining and operating tools under supervision.
-
Organizing and cleaning the shop departments, company vehicles.
-
Other duties as required to assist with workloads.

Traveling to other branch locations to support workloads.
Success in this role will come from:

Having basic computer skills.

Possessing high accuracy and attention to details.

Understanding maps and GPS readings.
-
Being mechanically inclined and possessing tool knowledge.

The ability to be organized, punctual and able to work efficiently in a high paced, stressful environment.

Maintaining flexibility when adapting to changes in scheduling or work requirements.

High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract required.

Current H2S, 1st Aid, TDG, CSO, Forklift, Overhead Crane Tickets considered assets.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
-
Shop environment - working on concrete, kneeling, bending, pulling, pushing, etc.
-
Subject to harsh cleaning chemicals, paints, and sudden loud pops/bangs.

Steel-toed boots are required and is the responsibility of the employee to obtain prior to hire date.

Hours may vary depending on workload but typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday to Friday, plus overtime and weekends as required during the turnaround season.
