Communication Marketing Strategist

The Communications Marketing Specialist will be working closely with our Senior Sales Manager and within the Business Development team to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our company.

 

Position Summary

The Communications and Marketing Strategist will work closely with our Business Development and Executive teams to develop and implement plans and strategies for our company. This position will be tasked with helping identify marketing trends and opportunities for growth as well as providing administrative support by creating marketing materials such as whitepapers, case studies, presentations and organizing campaigns.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Take direction and fulfill responsibilities from the VP of Business Development & Marketing

  • Take direction and fulfil responsibilities from the Senior Sales Manager.

  • Brand Focused – building a strong brand awareness internal and external.

  • Website Management and Development – Search Engine Optimization.

  • CRM management & support.

  • Support for e-commerce.

  • Advertising, promotional, event coordination.

  • Building culture through communication.

  • Create engaging content materials – brochures, flyers, presentations, & videos.

  • Collaborate with the internal teams, clients, and partners on marketing strategies.

  • Learn and work with various types of software for digital marketing.

  • Creative communication through blogging, white papers, case studies, presentations, and proposals.

  • Prepare, format, and edit a range of communication documents.

  • Understand the company’s services and products build a marketing strategy to engage customer buying behaviours.

  • Market Research, data collection and analysis.

  • Customer research through surveys, questionnaires, and other consumer rating reports.

  • Creating engaging social media content (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).

  • Provide marketing support to the Business Development team.

  • Attend sales meetings for participation of ideas, content gathering, and distribution.

  • Developing, coordinating, and executing engaging corporate events.

  • Design unique and “must have” Kings promotional items - SWAG

  • Assist with corporate culture through various internal communication.

  • Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns.

  • Travel to offsite meetings, tradeshows, promotional events.

  • Assist in the coordination of client events throughout the year.

  • Prepare sales team for events with marketing material and presentations.

  • Coordinate and implement key executive requests and queries.

  • Act as key point of contact between the executives and internal/external clients.

  • Be available as a resource for senior marketing professionals who need assistance with completing large projects

  • Assist in identifying trade shows and conferences for participation and support promotional events and campaigns by organizing and attending them to facilitate their success.

  • Execute budget details for all events, and remain open to creative ways of reducing costs (partnerships, sponsorship, and grants)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and public communication skills. Presentation skills are required.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • An extremely high level of attention to detail.

  • Sound knowledge of market research techniques and databases.

  • Superior knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (HubSpot, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Exquisite communication and people skills.

  • Must be willing to travel to offsite meetings, trade shows, and promotional events.

  • Demonstrate and emphasize safety and quality conscience attitude.

  • Exudes creativity and confidence.

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:

Candidates invited for an interview are asked to bring a portfolio demonstrating experiences with graphic design, writing, editing, strategic planning, reporting, research, event planning, facilitation, and/or project coordination.

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Digital and Social Media, or Business is required

  • 2+ years of experience in Public Relations, or Communications Strategy Development preferred

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, Teams, Zoom, SurveyMonkey.

  • 2+ years of administrative support

  • A valid class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver's abstract
