Service Writer and Warehouse Agent - Red Deer
Position Brief:
The Service Writer and Warehouse Agent will be responsible for coordinating the process of obtaining information from the customer and setting the repair or maintenance process in motion. Additionally, they will also play a role within the branch which emulates the duties of a Warehouse Agent by performing an array of duties that deal with both incoming and outgoing documentation, equipment, and inventory. This position is the first point of contact for our customers and requires strong customer service, attention to detail and computer skills.
What you will be responsible for:

Working in conjunction with divisional team leads or coordinators

Providing an exceptional counter service experience for customers picking up and dropping off items.

Accurately logging information into King’s ERP systems for tracking.

Responding to incoming inquiries from customers in a professional manner.
-
Producing documentation, forms, and reports regarding product information and condition.
-
Delivering documented information to the proper department.
-
Ensuring the accurate and timely shipping and receiving of products to all customers.

Entering in accurate information for receiving products and starting jobs within our programs.

Scanning and attaching documentation to jobs.
-
Communicating and being the liaison with both internal and external customers.
-
Picking and filling customer orders.
-
Initiating and performing inventory transfers.
-
Planning, organizing, and scheduling daily and weekly inbound or outbound freight.

Receiving, sorting, staging, and verifying all materials ordered by purchasing for inventory.

Loading and unloading trucks with a forklift.

A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Current Forklift, Skid Steer, Overhead Crane certificates or any combination of is preferred.

Previous experience in shipping and receiving.
-
Previous Safety Relief Valve knowledge or experience.

Previous Service Writing experience.

Previous International Shipping experience a definite asset

Knowledge of distribution sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

A valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Yearly holiday office closures

Some extended work hours as needed, including weekends or evenings

Exposure to sudden loud noises (pops/bangs)

Shop environment – Steel-toed boots are required.

An extremely fast-paced and diverse workload, frequent disruptions.

Required to stand for long periods of time.

Extremely hands-on with constant bending, standing, walking, lifting, etc.
-
The ability to lift to 50 lbs. will be required.
