Rupture Pin, A Brand of Taylor Valve Technology
Rupture Pin Technology is great to use where a non-resetting pressure relief valve is desired. This technology easily replaces existing rupture disc valves. The Rupture Pin valve offers substantial savings in operating and maintenance costs by eliminating premature failures, preventing the need to break the integrity of the system to institute a reset, avoiding exposure to environmental concerns, and enabling a quick and easy reset when the pin does require changing.
Kings Energy Services Ltd. is the proud Canadian Distributor of Rupture Pin, A Brand of Taylor Valve Technology products. King's Energy has been handling, repairing and distributing Taylor Valve products since 1989.

Model A-ESV
DESCRIPTION
The Model A is an angle body valve that holds a bubble-tight, open position until flowing pressure acting on the unbalanced stem area puts an axial force on the pin. At set point, the pin buckles and the valve closes for a bubble-tight seal. In case of a downstream line break, the mass velocity impinging on the lower piston surface will force the pin to buckle and the valve will seal closed. Unlike conventional valves and rupture discs, the Model “A” proves it is environmentally friendly by keeping you from flaring production or venting production to the atmosphere.
SPECIFICATIONS
Set Pressure: 40 – 500 Psi (For other set pressures, contact Taylor Valve.)
Accuracy: + / – 5%
Connections: Standard 2″ NPT and custom connections available.
Seals: Available for high & low temperatures, Viton standard.
Standard Materials: Carbon steel body, stainless-steel trim is standard, other materials optional.

WHAT IS SIL 3 CAPABLE?
SIL, or Safety Integrity Level, is a measurement scale of safety system performance for an element with safety instrumented function (SIF) installed in a safety instrumented system (SIS). There are four possible ratings: 1, 2, 3 and 4; the higher the rating, the more functionally safe the system is deemed to be based upon specified risk factors prescribed by IEC 61508 guidelines.
When installing three SIL capable J-A ESVs in a system, a Safety Integrity Level of 3 is achieved with a risk reduction factor of 10,000 to 1,000.
