Journeyman Electrician/ Electrical Foreman
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, control devices and related equipment used in the oil & gas, along with the industrial and commercial industries; specifically, electrical & electronic systems and equipment.
Position Responsibilities:

Take direction and fulfil responsibilities from the Division Manager EIC

Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems
-
Use of testing devices to inspect, test, and diagnose electrical and electronic systems and controls.

Actively maintain and understand QMS systems, policies and procedures
-
Consult with and advise leadership and operations staff regarding work performed
-
Train and mentor apprentices and support staff
-
Repair, maintain, or replace defective parts.
-
Complete risk and hazard assessments as part of customer and company safety initiatives
-
Interpret and use of appropriate CSA, codes, standards and practices.

Work closely with the Operations Lead EI&M and/or Branch Area Manager with evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of KPIs, and other reporting metrics on a consistent and accurate basis

Initiate Nonconformance reports where any product or services do not meet work order or industry regulated requirements

Perform self-study training on QHSE Procedures identified in the QF20.4 Training Matrix.

Where and when necessary carry out training to all apprentices and support staff

Assist in updating and continuous improvement of organization QMS, HSE, and ERP systems.

Assist with and tracking RMAs

Demonstrate and emphasize safety conscience attitude while building a culture of trust and accountability.
Education and Training:
-
Registered / Certified Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician
-
High School Diploma or GED required, additional accreditation will be considered an asset
-
Valid H2S, CSTS-09, First Aid and OSSA Fall Protection certificates required.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation required.
Skills and Experience:
-
Industrial electrical service, maintenance and construction experience
-
Experience working within industrial, oil & gas, and commercial facilities
-
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and electronic
-
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings as well as electrical code and client(s) specification
-
Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment
-
Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adherence
-
Maintain good customer relations

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, Excel

Comfortable working in all weather conditions, capable of lifting 25Kg
-
Customer service focused on both written and verbal comprehension

Ability to work with all levels of employees and management both internally and externally
-
Maintain high level of confidentiality and accuracy for data entry and paperwork; including company sensitive information.

Demonstrated understanding of QHSE Procedures that relate to the IE & M Department functions

Strong analytical, and mathematical skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively work within complex, fast-moving work environment under minimal supervision.

Ability to work as a positive contributing member within team environment.

Willingness to take hands on approach in assisting with developing systems and procedures.
