Position Summary:
This is a quality-orientated position with Kings Energy Services, Equipment Servicing division. The candidate will be responsible for performing various repairs, operating, and maintaining a variety of machines and hand tools to perform assigned tasks. The incumbent will produce or repair a variety of oil field components and assemblies utilizing conventional machine shop and welding equipment. The candidate will be applying their knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining, welding procedures to ensure safety, efficiency and quality are maintained.
The Millwright is expected to perform the position responsibilities in compliance with King’s Energy Services Ltd daily operating requirements, the Quality Management System and Safety Policies.
Position Responsibilities:
Repairing defective machine parts using, hand and machine tools
Operating hoisting and lifting devices, including cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position parts during installation
Aligning equipment using specialized tools, such as micrometers and plumb bobs
Performing preventative maintenance procedures on shop equipment
Reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work and repair procedures.
inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect deficiencies.
Collaborating with project engineers & M.E.T
Applying mechanical repair principles and procedures to ensure equipment functions properly
Reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery manuals
Disassembling, cleaning and inspection of equipment
recommending equipment changes to management teams
assembling machinery and equipment before installation using power tools and welding equipment
performing diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure it is safe
operating machine tools, such as lathes, mills and grinders, to fabricate parts necessary for the overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery
adjusting complex machinery for new patterns and products
cleaning and lubricating machinery
identifying differences in dimensions and shapes of components
other duties as assigned

Skills Training and Competencies:
Must be able to lift 70lbs.

Participation in Safety Program and Quality Assurance Program
Strong computer skills; MS office suite proficient with an ability to learn new programs

Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work as a positive contributing member within team environment.
Willingness to take hands on approach in developing systems and procedures.
Functional understanding of imperial and metric systems.
Familiar with reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Experience in repair and re-certification of oil field lifting equipment. i.e., tubing elevators, tubing blocks, elevators etc.
Understanding of properties of metal and other materials
Strong welding, machining and mechanical aptitude.
