Operations Lead - Williston, North Dakota, USA
The Operations Lead will be responsible for managing daily business operations, transporting a variety of materials, parts, and finished products over local and inter-state routes and implementing strategies to drive business growth. Customer relationship management will be a top priority for this role. Other duties may be assigned between scheduled delivery trips. This role requires strong organizational skills, business sense, and the ability to effectively manage resources.
The Operations Lead is expected to perform the position responsibilities in compliance with King’s Energy Services Ltd daily operating requirements, the Quality Management System and Safety Policies. The Operations Lead is responsible for:

Overseeing day-to-day operations to support the growth and add to the bottom line of its branch.

Find new areas for growth and improvement for its branches in accordance with King’s overall corporate strategy.

Provide inclusive direction and guidance to next level supervisors regarding the operational activities of its branch.

Transporting materials, parts, and finished products to and from customers locally and across state lines
-
Identifying and recording non-conformances
Position Responsibilities:
-
Transporting materials, parts, and finished products to and from customer locations both locally and across state lines. Planning routes and meeting pick up and delivery schedules

Maintain existing contacts as well as cultivate new relationships with customers and suppliers in support of building a favorable company image and increasing sales.

Successfully resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

Facilitate branch operations as it relates to inventory, logistics, security, safety, and quality.

Involvement with auditing processes – both routine and periodic self-checks to ensure preparedness for audit requests.
-
Forecast and cost control reporting.

Preparing paperwork for international shipments

Inspect equipment for mechanical items and safety issues both pre and post trip and perform preventative maintenance.

Keep in contact with manager to provide up to date information and requirements or job scheduling.

Ensure that company policies, government procedures, regulations, codes, and manufacturers specifications are followed.

Assist the Business Development and Operation teams in account management to include joint calls and marketing activities, customer strategies, sales, etc.

Travel to site locations, customer, or field offices in support of overall company objectives and or specific customer requirements.

Initiate Nonconformance reports where product or services do not meet requirements.

Assist with general shop and field duties as required.

Demonstrate and emphasize safety conscience attitude.
Education and Skills Requirements:
-
5+ years of Management / Leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
-
Minimum 2 years of truck, trailer, and cargo securement experience.
-
A valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract.

A valid passport.

Experience and knowledge related to safety valves, Instrument and/or Electrical areas required and/or must have the willingness and drive to learn in the knowledge areas they do not currently possess.

Strong computer aptitude and fiscal management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Experience with quality systems and processes.

Prior experience in a manufacturing and or service environment.

Commitment towards a team environment and support of a continuous improvement culture.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Familiar with Employment Standards, Human Rights and OHS legislation required.

Current First Aid Certificate.
-
Defensive Driving Course and/or TDG certificates considered assets.
Additional Skills and Experience:

Exceptional customer service skills.

The ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

The ability and foresight to handle changing conditions, troubleshoot equipment, and find new routes when needed.

Willingness to provide a clean drug test, driver’s abstract, criminal record, and background checks.

Completion of Hours-of-Service Course.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
